I received the JOICO HYDRASPLASH HYDRATING GELEE MASQUE for free from Chick Advisor thank you! This is a great hair mask because of the gel texture it does not weigh your hair down and you are left with moisture which is much needed in the middle of winter.
I wanted to start by saying I received this product free from Chick Advisor to sample and review.
I really liked this masque. I used it instead of the HydraSplash conditioner (and with the HydraSplash shampoo) and my hair felt light and soft. I also found that it helped managed frizz and tangles. My hair has been dyed frequently and can feel a bit on the drier side especially this winter. After one use of the masque you couldn’t tell at all. I will continue to buy this masque because I love it so much.
My one issue with this masque is the packaging -the instructions don’t mentioned whether you leave the masque in pre-shampoo or if this is done after conditioner or in substitute for conditioner! Since I’ve done other hydrating masques and they’ve varied in when you apply it I was confused and chose to use it instead of conditioner.
My hair is fairly healthy so I don’t use hair masks very often because I don’t find many of them perform better than a good conditioner. This one however is different.
I love that this comes in a squeeze tube rather than a jar I have to reach my wet hands into in the shower. It’s just so convenient and more sanitary. It didn’t take a ton of the conditioner to cover and saturate my long thick hair. I left it on the full five minutes suggested and after than it rinsed out really easily.
The scent on this is fairly mild but fresh and clean smelling. After my hair dried I absolutely loved the feel of it. It just felt so soft and silky I almost couldn’t stop touching it through the day. It looks healthy and shiny as well.
I’m actually a fan of this mask and will continue to use it. I’m really surprised by how much I like this product!

Hydra splash gelée masque along with the hydra splash shampoo and conditioner is such a great combination my hair hadn’t been this silky and smooth in a while. My hair looked so shiny and much healthier after just one use. It left my hair feeling soft hydrated and silky. It didn’t weight my hair down didn’t make it look flat instead it felt so light weight and bouncy. I am in love with this product I sure did get it as a gift for review purposes but looks like I found a new gem.
