“I wanted to showcase the fact that no matter what your age, you can still have fantastic hair,” says Tiffany, who explains that Lumi10’s NV shades are perfect for her blonde client – a busy, hardworking nurse with a crazy schedule, and gray that’s growing in. “When I have a blonde who starts to go gray, I always recommend adding some form of highlights to the hair. This helps the color grow out with ease and breaks up the line of demarcation.” The goal? “As a stylist, I have figured out how to make my gray clients still feel trendy and seen. I think that is the most important thing.”

TIFFANY’S PRO TRICKS…

Adjust your developers: “If you are doing any foil work, make sure you have adjusted your developers to ensure the hair in the foil will be done processing at the same time as Lumi10.”

Wait to apply Lumi10 if necessary: “Sometimes you might want to wait a few extra minutes to apply Lumi10 so the other can catch up, and that’s totally fine!”

Work section by section: “When it comes to rinsing Lumi10 and foil work, I like to work section by section and rinse out the foils and color together. Lumi10 has extra dye loads, so you don’t want that base color sitting on your freshly lightened blonde.”

Stay close! “I don’t leave my client during the ten-minute processing time. It goes quickly! I like to check halfway through just to make sure everything is depositing the way it’s supposed to.”
