COLORFUL WAVES FORMULA & STEP BY STEP
Version 1 with Pink Grapefruit
Formula 1: Pink Grapefruit ( 1 part Hot-Kiss + 1 part Hot-Pink)
Formula 2: Magenta
Prep: Apply Defy Damage ProSeries 1 and pre-lighten hair to a level 9+ with Blonde Life Lightening Powder.
Apply formula 2 to regrowth (1/2 inch long) throughout entire head.
Section #1: To isolate the fringe take a wide triangle section from the corner of each eye to about 2 inches from hair line.
Section #2: At the front hairline, divide in 3 equal sections. Create a triangle starting at the upper division on both sides to the vertex.
Section #3: Starting at your 2nd division, take diagonal backward parting from side to side through the occipital area creating a V shape at the back.
Section #4: The remaining area below section #3.
Apply formula 2 over the entire section #4 in fine strands. Protect the section with foils.
Apply formula 1 over the entire section #3 in fine strands, and slightly blend with the formula 1 (previously applied in step 1). Protect the section with foils.
Repeat with formula 2 on section #2.
Repeat with formula 1 on section #1.
Process hair for 20 minutes then rinse with cool water. Apply Joico K-PAK cuticle sealer for 5 minutes on towel dry hair. Rinse and finish with Defy Damage ProSeries2
Version 2 with Berry Blast
Formula 1: Berry Blast ( 3 parts Clear + 2 parts Magenta + 1 part Amethyst-purple)
Formula 2: Soft-pink
Formula 3: Indigo
Formula 4: Lilac
Prep: Apply Defy Damage ProSeries 1 and pre-lighten hair to a level 9+ with Blonde Life Lightening Powder.
Apply formula 1 to regrowth (1/2 inch long) throughout entire head.
Section #1: Take a small triangular section from the middle of each eye to about 1 inch from hair line. Apply formula 4 with minimal blending with the color applied in the first step.
Section #2: Take a 1-inch wider triangular section from the corner of each eye to about 2 inches from hair line. Apply formula 2 with minimal blending with the color applied in the first step.
Section #3: Starting at the front hairline, ½ inch lower than section #2. Create a third triangle going to the vertex. Apply formula 1 from scalp to ends.
Section #4: Will be the whole area below the section #3. Divide it in 7 sub-sections diagonal backward from side to side, creating v shapes. Colormelt each of those by adding more formula 1 on top and blending the color with the formula list below. Apply formula 2 at the ends first and work it upward to create a third color.
Working downwards, melting with previously applied regrowth
1st: formula 1 to formula 2
2nd: formula 1 to formula 3
3rd: formula 1 to formula 4
4th: formula 1 to formula 3
5th: formula 1 to formula 2
6th: formula 1 to formula 4
7th: formula 1 to formula 3

COLORFUL LOVE FORMULA & STEP BY STEP
Version 1 with Bubble Gum
Formula 1: Bubble Gum (3 parts Soft-Pink + 1 part Pink)
Formula 2: Amethyst-Purple
Formula 3: Mauve Amour
Prep: Apply Defy Damage ProSeries 1 and pre-lighten hair to a level 9+ with Blonde Life Lightening Powder.
Apply formula 1 to regrowth (1/2 inch long) throughout entire head.
Section #1: To isolate the fringe take a wide triangle section from the of the external corner of each eye to about 2 inches from the hair line.
On the top of the head, starting at the point of the fringe create 3 hearts that nest inside each other 1 to 2 inches wide, according to the size of the head.
Section #2 smallest section
Section #3 medium section
Section #4 largest section – The tip of the largest heart (Section #4) is below the crown and above the occipital and the “V” is the tip of the fringe triangle.
Sections #5-#6: following the shape of the head, take horizontal parting from side to side through the occipital area. Note: Section #5 will fall under the largest heart shaped section (Section #4) and Section #6 is the nape area.
Apply formula 2 over the entire Section # 6 in fine strands, and slightly blend with the formula 1 (previously applied in step 1). Protect the section with foils.
Repeat with formula 1 on Section #5.
Apply formula 2 to Section #4 (large heart) and be careful to slightly blend with formula 1 from step #1. Protect the section with foils or carefully place the hair following the heart shape to create a stunning processing photo for your Instagram!
Repeat with formula 3 on Section # 3 (medium heart)
Repeat with formula 1 on section # 2 (small heart)
Position yourself in front of your client and use a foil to protect face, apply in the natural fall off the hair. Using fine horizontal slices, apply formula 1 at the top of the fringe and formula 3 at the bottom, well saturate the 2 colors but be careful not to blend them too much, we want to create a horizontal shine line in the fringe. Place the next fine slice of fringe directly over the first one, without foil, to keep the same color guide for the entire section. Repeat for the entire section.
Process hair for 20 minutes then rinse with cool water. Apply Joico K-PAK cuticle sealer for 5 minutes on towel dry hair. Rinse and finish with Defy Damage ProSeries2
Version 2 with Sweet Violet
Formula 1: Sweet Violet (1 part Orchid + 1 part Blush)
Formula 2: Blush
Formula 3: Peri-wink
Formula 4: Clear
Prep: Apply Defy Damage ProSeries 1 and pre-lighten hair to a level 9+ with Blonde Life Lightening Powder.
Apply formula 1 to regrowth (1/2 inch long) throughout entire head.
Section #1: To isolate the fringe take a wide triangle section from the corner of each eye to about 2 inches from hair line.
On the top of the head, starting at the point of the fringe create 5 hearts that nest inside each other 1” to 1.5”” wide, according to the size of the head
Section #2 smallest section
Section #6 largest section – The tip of the largest heart (Section #6) is below the occipital and the “V” is the tip of the fringe triangle
Sections #7: will fall under the largest heart shaped (Section #6) to the nape area.
Starting at the front of section #7, take diagonal backward ½ inch wide subsections. Apply formula 1 on the top half and colormelt it with formula 4.
Massage the hair carefully to blend the 2 colors together to create a seamless colormelt.
Next subsection will be the same but use formula 3 and 4.
Alternate the entire section until they join to create an inverted triangle at the back. Protect the section with foils.
Apply formula 3 to the Section # 6 (large heart) and be careful to slightly blend with formula 1 from step #1. Protect the section with foils or carefully place the hair following the heart shape to create a stunning processing photo for your Instagram!
Repeat with formula 1 on Section # 5
Repeat with formula 2 on Section # 4
Repeat with formula 3 on Section # 3
Repeat with formula 1 on Section # 2 (smallest heart)

Well saturate the colors but be careful not to blend them too much, we want to create a crisp diagonal shine line in the fringe. Place the next fine slice of fringe directly over the first one, without foil, to keep the same color guide for the entire section. Repeat for the entire section.
